PBIS
At Pataskala South Fork Elementary, we believe that introducing, modeling, and reinforcing positive social behaviors is a vital part of every student’s educational journey. By teaching clear behavioral expectations and celebrating students who demonstrate them, we create a supportive and encouraging environment where all students can thrive. This proactive approach is at the heart of our schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, which fosters a climate where positive behavior is the norm and directly contributes to stronger student outcomes and academic success.
Our PBIS expectations are built around ROAR:
-
Respect – treating ourselves, others, and our school with care and kindness.
-
On-Task – staying focused and giving our best effort in learning and play.
-
Accountable – taking responsibility for our actions and choices.
-
Responsible – making safe, smart, and thoughtful decisions every day.
To support these expectations, Pataskala South Fork Elementary also implements the PAX Good Behavior Game™ (PAX GBG). This evidence-based practice helps students develop self-regulation, self-control, and self-management skills while learning to collaborate with others. PAX promotes peace, productivity, health, and happiness—aligning seamlessly with our ROAR values and equipping students with lifelong skills for success.
